Tazewell Area Chamber of Commerce - Tazewell County Virginia

The 2009 Main Street Heritage Festival includes concerts at the Tazewell Mini Park, Tazewell High School and other locations on Tazewells Main Street. Main street will be closed to traffic on Saturday July 25th from 6 AM until early Sunday morning.

If your business or group is interested in having a space at the festival you need to complete and return the Vendor Application form as soon as possible to insure an exhibition spot.

This year the Festival is dedicated to the memory of Rick French, who died in a tragic accident in February of this year. Rick was a friend to all and was dedicated to God, his friends and his wonderful family. Rick will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and will be sorely missed. Rick was a 1971 graduate of Tazewell High School and was employed as a safety supervisor by CNX Gas. Rick began his 36-year career with Consol Energy Southern Appalachian Region in June of 2005; he transferred his safety expertise to CNX Gas. Rick left an indelible imprint on the safety efforts of the company that will carry on. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

7:00 PM	STEELE COOKIN - These boys have rocked these mountains for many moons and are once again the hometown band hosts of the Main Street Heritage Festival. For down home musical enjoyment Steele Cookin’ serves just the right menu and it’s all hot. As always all sound and production will be provided by Teddy Ray Steele.
